- Focus was on fluid dynamics using computational methods. The adhesive behaviour of small micron-sized particles in turbulent flows was investigated by coupling the Discrete Element Method (DEM) to Large Eddy Simulations (LES) using the open-source software LIGGGHTS, CFDEM and OpenFOAM.
